Egg crate mattress pads were made for people to have good air circulation, a more restful sleep, and greater support. An egg crate mattress pad, in case you were wondering, is simply a open or closed cell foam topper for your matress.
One side of the foam is flat, and the other side of the foam appears as egg crate shaped. There are usually dips and bumps that are spread out evenly all over the egg crate mattress pad. Many times, you can see these kinds of bed toppers being used by clinics and hospitals.
