Should And How Do I Wash My Egg Crate Mattress?

Queen size. I have a new 3.1 size front load wash machine, but I’m not sure if I should try it. I’ve been using it under a mattress pad for about a year and havn’t yet washed it.

I wash mine all the time just throw it in on gentle… It will be fine. Air dry…
Is it the spongy kind? I think you should wash it because even if it doesn’t stink or look dirty it accumulates germs… besides it’s nicer to sleep on something clean, right?
I would put mine in the washing machine and hang it dry, but if you want to be safe you can wash it in mild soap water in the bathtub using a sponge. Don’t put it in the dryer.
