I think you should wash it because even if it doesn't stink or look dirty it accumulates germs... besides it's nicer to sleep on something clean, right? I would put mine in the washing machine and hang it dry, but if you want to be safe you can wash it in mild soap water in the bathtub using a sponge. Don't put it in the dryer. Is it the spongy kind?
